Cancellation Policy: Participants may cancel up to 14 days prior to the start of the class for a refund. There will be no refunds within 14 days of the class. If AGTV or the instructor cancels the class, participants will get a full refund.
Class Content: In this material-driven and improvisational workshop, participants will explore a variety of materials and media- both old and new- as they transform discarded books into unique works of art. We’ll experiment with collage, image transfer, and found text while learning new techniques and processes.
Supply List: All essential supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring in personal notions and ephemera such as: assorted papers or fabrics, ribbons & trims, buttons, old photographs, found objects & other ephemera.
Biography: Ehren Reed relocated to Louisville, KY in late 2013 after 14 years as a professional artist and art educator in San Francisco, CA. She holds a degree in Latin American Studies from Kenyon College and a degree in Painting & Drawing from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She is a fiber and mixed media artist working predominantly in thread and embroidery and has exhibited nationally from San Francisco to Brooklyn. Her work has also been featured in national and international publications.
