In addition to classes and workshops, the Art Guild of Tellico Village organizes ongoing art related activities.
Join our Artist Trading Card Exchange where members create small pieces of artwork and then exchange them. Artists may create in any medium using any technique they prefer. Anything goes!
Each month we will have a new theme:
March theme: Blue (incorporate blue); March deadline: March 20th
April theme: Bugs; April deadline: April 20th
ATCs can be acquired at online retailers, from Pam George or you can make your own (2.5″ x 3.5″) from your favorite papers.
No sign-up is required! Members who wish to participate should mail their ATC to Pam or drop it off in the designated box on her front porch at 301 Tahlequah Drive, Loudon, TN 37774. On the back of the ATC please add your name and date, and optionally a title/notes. Be sure to include YOUR RETURN ADDRESS! (if possible include an address label for the envelope–perhaps you get some free from charities?)
After the deadline, Pam will mail an ATC to each person who dropped one off. If you send in multiple ATC you will receive the same number in return.
To get a blank ATC or questions: contact Pam at firstname.lastname@example.org; Tel 563 940 8169.
1:00 PM on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month
Join us as we meet informally twice a month to exchange ideas and techniques related to Art Journals. Pam George will offer live demonstrations and attendees will be invited to share techniques and ideas if they wish to.
Our first meet-up will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 11th and then every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month thereafter. These meetings will initially be on zoom; once it is safe to do so, we will meet in the Art Room in Chota Recreation Center.
Interested in the Collaborative Group? There is no fee and no commitment is required; drop in when you can. Please email Pam George to join the email list: email@example.com .
You don’t have to be a member of the Art Guild to participate, so please invite your friends and neighbors to join us as we Learn Together!
Would you like feedback on your artwork?
Member and professional artist Tom Stade is offering to critique AGTV member artwork — works in progress or finished pieces. Tom attended the Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids Michigan earning a degree in illustration. Now retired, he worked for 25 years in commercial illustration.
Tom will look at each artist’s piece considering the principles of design which work together to create something that is aesthetically pleasing. Participating artists will hear the critique on their own work and the other artists’ work.
Join us: Tuesday March 30th at 2:00 pm on Zoom
Everyone who has participated has reported how much they have learned and appreciated Tom’s comments.
