Hannah Hancock Presents!
In this presentation I will go over my personal journey as an artist. I will go over how my art developed over the years, how I find inspirations, stay motivated, my artistic process, and how/why I choose the materials I use. I will also go over how I’ve applied to art shows and gotten my work into professional settings as a younger artist. As well as a behind the scenes look at what it means to have a solo art show or be sponsored by a gallery. An A-Z run down of my life as an artist outside of being y’all favorite art store employee!

Artist Bio:
I am a professional mixed media artist in Knoxville, TN; born and raised. I am currently working as one of the managers at Jerry’s Artarama. I have a bachelors of arts in Graphic Design from Maryville College. I have participated in a numerous number of regional art exhibitions throughout my life in East Tennessee. As well, I’m teaching at a variety of art and crafts centers throughout the area. My work is an exploration of my southern roots in East Tennessee and the relationships I have cultivated as an adult. Carefully crafted topographies are woven together in quilt like patterns telling the stories of the people I love or have loved. The bright and saturated colors are inspired by the memories, impressions of events both how they did and did not actually appear. These vibrant colors coupled with serious titles evoke a feeling of whimsy and heaviness that we all face as human beings.
