211015 Frame Loom Weaving for Beginners – Carolyn Cook

Workshop Content: Participants will learn to weave a wall hanging. In the 1st session, they will learn how to string a wooden weaving loom, then design and begin to weave with yarn & other fibers. Participants will take their loom and necessary fibers home, and continue to work on their wall hanging. In the 2nd session, participants will bring their almost finished piece to add embellishments, hangars, etc. All will share their work and participate in group critique.
Workshop fee includes wooden loom, weaving needle, comb, yarn/fibers, etc. that participant will keep after the class.
Biography: Carolyn Cook is a loom weaving enthusiast and enjoys helping others to learn the basics of this fun and relaxing form of artistic expression.
Covid Protocol: Carolyn will be wearing a face mask. Face masks are recommended during demonstrations and close contact situations. Artists’ tables will be spaced 6-10 feet apart — masks optional when socially distanced
