211005 Fun using Gesso Juice and Watercolor – Lee Edge

Prerequisites: Some working knowledge of watercolor and color theory.
Workshop Content: Gesso Juice will be applied to several pieces of 140 Lb. Watercolor Paper (Fabriano or Arches). When dry, a limited number of watercolor applications will be applied to emphasize the subject selected by the painter. All are strongly encouraged to bring personal photo references for originality or researched references.
Supply List: More details and a supply list will be provided for those who sign up for class by the deadline of September 17, including a deposit.
Biography: Lee has been teaching art for more than 40 years, in various public school systems in several states as well as adult education, Gifted/Talented classes in colleges and universities in VA, and for several years in Tellico Village. Lee has an undergrad degree from Moore College of Art and Design and a master’s from Temple University/Tyler School of Fine Arts, both in Philadelphia, PA. Over the years Lee’s art works have received numerous awards in watercolor, pastel painting, printmaking and photography. She exhibits with the Knoxville Watercolor Society and holds Signature Memberships in The Tennessee Watercolor Society and the Southern Watercolor Society, having received occasional awards in exhibits sponsored by both societies.
