This is Only the Beginning
A unique part of my work is that it’s grounded in process as much as outcome. I’m constantly figuring things out—learning from mistakes, studying, and trying to improve with each piece. I paint landscapes mainly in oil, but I also work in watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, and resin, using each to explore different qualities like texture, light, and movement.
My style isn’t fixed, it is growing. It shifts as I try new approaches and pay closer attention to what I’m seeing. I think of my development as non-linear, building in different areas at various times rather than along a straight path. That sense of exploration carries into each new piece. What I learn along the way matters just as much as the finished work—I’m driven by those moments of discovery, when something clicks and opens up a new way to improve
My presentation will be a discussion of my journey as an artist, what I am learning along the way, my approach to the creative process, and my hopes for continued growth and improvement in the future.
