Whether you are new to art or a formally trained professional, this presentation on the Elements of Art / Principles of Design will help you take your art to the next level. As a result of this presentation, you will increase skills to identify the strengths and weakness of your art, improve your ability to learn from other artists and help you identify the skills you need to take your art to the next level.
This presentation takes you beyond just recognizing the Elements of Art / Principles of Design. It will show you how to creatively use the Elements and Principles to create more compelling art. The program is applicable to all 2D art, regardless of medium.
- Session 1 is an explanation of the Elements of Art and Principles of Design and their application to familiar great works of art.
- Sessions 2 and 3 are in-depth discussions of your art and how you can apply the Elements and Principles to strengthen your creativity.
- No cost instructional materials will include a summary sheet of key concepts and a list of online videos and articles for participants who want to pursue the subject further.
Jack Retterer is a Fine Art Photographer with over 40 years of experience. Before moving to East Tennessee, Jack taught photography at Benedictine University. Currently, he teaches Fine Art Photography at the University of Tennessee. His work has been recognized in numerous juried exhibitions for its artistic strength.
