Cancellation Policy: Participants may cancel up to 14 days prior to the start of the class for a full refund. There will be no refunds within 14 days of the class unless spot can be filled from wait list. To cancel, fill out the class refund request form
Class Content: This class will be conducted with live (draped) models or using projected images of models. Class will begin with gesture drawings ranging from 30 second poses up to 15 minutes. The largest portion of class time will be spent on one long pose to give each person enough time to develop a drawing. We will concentrate on shape and value.
Biography: Cynthia Tipton holds two BFA’s. The first in painting from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and the second in graphic design from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She has been an active member of the art community in Knoxville for thirty years. Currently she has a studio in the Homberg area of Bearden and teaches Adults and kids while continuing to produce her own work which consists of portraits and figurative painting.
Supply List: Participants are encouraged to bring whatever medium they would like to work in. Suggested supplies include:
- Vine charcoal 18×24 soft or medium
- Newsprint
- Chamois
- Kneaded eraser
- Instructor will have supplies as well
