Class Content: Join me in painting your choice of one of these winter scenes in acrylics. I’ll show you how to create it with or without the snowmen. An 11 by 14 canvas is provided but if you want to attempt to do both of these images you could bring an extra one with you and try to paint both of the samples!! The one without the snowmen goes pretty quickly.
Learn simple techniques for painting realistic snow and snow-covered pines. We will also learn how to make things in the background appear distant.
I will help you make the painting your own with different optional tips. While I paint thinner on the canvas generally, I will show you several techniques so you can paint with more texture if you prefer that. It’s about having fun and making it your own! I provide personal assistance around the room as you all create your own special winter landscape and learn techniques to take home and try on some more paintings!
Some painting class experience will help, even if it was just a Painting with a Twist class or something like that.
Hope to see you there and we will have fun!!
If you prefer to paint bigger, you can bring a 16×20. I will provide a 11×14 canvas.
