Class Content: We will practice the wet felting method, using wool fibers and mulberry paper to create a beautiful lighting design. The paper felts into the wool, and the result is a new fabric that is both sheer and sturdy. I will walk you through the process of laying fibers and paper to create this lamp shade. You will design your own cut outs of paper so that when you turn on the light, you will see your design illuminated. If you are new to felting, you will learn the steps, and if you are experienced with wet felting, but you have not tried combining wool and paper, then you might be enchanted with the possibilities! ALL SUPPLIES are included: wool, mulberry paper, puck light.
Supply List: I will supply your wool, paper, and puck light. Please bring the following tools:
- 1 small bath towel, older the better.
- 6 old dish towels.
- 1 small 1 quart bowl.
- 1 ball brause if you have it. For squirting water.
