Class Content: This workshop is about painting — not overthinking.
From First Mark to Finished is a paint-forward, immersive day designed to help you move confidently through an entire painting process, from the very first brushstroke to knowing when a piece is complete.
Rather than teaching you how to paint like me, I’ll guide you in discovering how you paint best. Through short demos, prompts, and plenty of studio time, you’ll learn how to begin without hesitation, stay engaged without overworking, and make decisions that feel true to your own voice.
This is not about perfection or formulas. It’s about momentum, trust, and learning how to finish a painting with intention instead of doubt.
Expect a supportive atmosphere, clear guidance, and lots of time at the easel. You’ll leave with completed work, renewed confidence, and a deeper understanding of your personal painting rhythm.
All levels welcome.

Biography: Catron Wallace is a Nashville-based abstract painter whose work blends intuition, movement, and color into compositions that feel both organic and architectural. With over 30 years of professional practice, Wallace has developed a refined visual language rooted in rhythm, emotion, and the quiet power of simplicity.
Her paintings are known for their dynamic layers, luminous palettes, and the sense of grounded energy they bring to contemporary interiors. Each piece is built through a process of physical engagement — gestures, markings, and subtle shifts that echo the landscapes, seasons, and internal worlds she moves through.
Throughout her career, Wallace has exhibited across the Southeast and has placed work in private collections, designer-curated homes, and boutique gallery spaces. She maintains a steady studio practice and continues to evolve her work with a deep respect for craft and a commitment to authenticity.
Driven by a lifelong dedication to creativity, Wallace approaches each canvas as an invitation — to pause, breathe, and experience a moment of clarity. Her work resonates with collectors seeking art that is both visually striking and emotionally grounding.
